Today, is the first time THIS YEAR that I have made this wonderful recipe! Because I am home bound and I am not able to go out at all times, I used dried basil instead of fresh. LAST YEAR, I made a Tomato Pie five times! It is delicious and wonderfully Southern.

Absolutely Fantastic. I used a premade gluten free pie crust (brand Wholly). Even my pickiest eater loved this! Can’t wait to make it to share with extended family. Yum!!

Since I have retired I have more time to cook and enjoy it. I’ve made the tomato pie 3 times, most recently for Christmas dinner. It was a big hit, and everybody wants the recipe. Good stuff!

This is a great recipe.
I added bread and butter pickle slices to the top and its even better (as long as you like pickles).
