I thought this recipe was too heavy on the nutmeg and cloves. My kids age 6 & 3.5 didn’t mind though. Maybe pregnancy makes me sensitive lol. We used fresh apples from the orchard. I felt it was a little watery but the kids didn’t mind texture.

Delicious! I made them with vegan substitutes and they were so good. The only problem was that I didn’t make enough. They went so quickly!

Perhaps your spices were a little old? I could definitely taste the cinnamon, cloves & nutmeg.

Awesome recipe. Added 1/2 cup walnuts to mix. Topped with peanut butter and diced apples. So YUMMY!!!!
